Back to the Future...

Nad and his brother Zak opened their first bicycle shop in 1981 in Santa Ana, California.  By 1986, Zak's Bicycle World was the single largest bicycle shop in SoCal.  It was a 21,000 sq/ft bicycle play-land. The shop even sponsored the 1988 US Olympic Team.  Zak's Bicycle World became THE complete one-stop-shop for anything bicycle related.  In 1989, Nad and his wife, Mary, moved to Corona, California, with the ambition of expanding the bicycle business east of Orange County.  Together, they built a small local bike shop in a small retail space off the Lincoln exit on the 91freeway, not far from our current location.  B & M Cycle, named after their children, Bishoy and Maureen, quickly outgrew itself like its sister shop in Santa Ana.  By 1994, B & M Cycle expanded to 12,000 sq/ft, boasted 28 different brands, thousands of accessories, expert service and repair, and even its own clothing line.  The shop quickly gained popularity and recoginition.  It was featured in local magazines, newspapers, and editorials, as well as local and regional BMX race tracks.  The shop sponsored local recreational rides, as well as competitive athletes in Road, Moutain, and BMX competitions.  Unfortunately, in 1998, Nad suffered a severe heart attack that required prolonged hospitalization and a tri-bypass surgery.  Thankfully, Nad made a full recovery, and in 2000, he finally began a pleasant retirement in San Diego, CA.  This proved to be more of an extended vacation for Nad.  Anxious and eager to return to the business, Nad and the family returned to Corona, CA, in 2002 and rebuilt the family bicycle business.  We have been blessed and fortunate to have flourished in this business for more than three decades.  If you're a new customer, we're so glad you stopped by.  For those who know us, we sincerely thank you for your continued patronage and we look forward to seeing you again!  Thanks for stopping by NadsBikes.com, where we guarantee our prices, and strive to provide you with the best service in the business.
